Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd is seeking a Labourer to join our Refurbishment & Projects team, supporting loft insulation and installations across Wiltshire. Working alongside our directly employed tradespeople, you’ll contribute to residential refurbishments from strip-out through to installation.

This is a hands-on role with a nationally recognised employer, offering a 39-hour week, with a basic salary of £26,729 plus benefits including uniform and PPE, holidays, pension, life insurance and ongoing

Qualifications

• Experience as Labourer or General Operative preferred but not essential.
• Physically demanding role; comfortable in confined spaces like lofts.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in customers' homes and occupied properties.

Responsibilities

• Support multi-trades with loft insulation and related works in occupied homes.
• Manually handle, load/unload, and move materials and waste.
• Keep sites clean, safe, and well organized.
• Assist with site prep, clearances, and general labour tasks.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

The Labourer role:

• Supporting multi-trades with loft insulation and its associated works within occupied residential properties.
• Manual handling; Loading, unloading, and moving materials, equipment, and waste.
• Maintaining clean, safe, and organised working environments.
• Assisting with site preparation, clearances, and general labouring duties.
• Always following health and safety procedures.

What will you bring to the Labourer role?

• Previous experience as a Labourer, General Operative, or experience of working in a similar trade-related environment would be advantageous but not essential
• You will be comfortable undertaking a physically demanding role; working in confined spaces e.g. small loft spaces.
• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
• The ability to work professionally in customers' homes and occupied properties.
• Full UK driving licence essential; with the use of your own vehicle. You will not be required to use your own vehicle for delivering equipment or materials.
