Job summary

Danish Crown UK is seeking a Labour Planning & Control Lead to own end-to-end planning and optimisation of production-based labour across the site in Milnrow. You will ensure the right number of people with the right skills are planned to meet forecasted volumes, while balancing permanent and agency labour, and driving cost and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in labour planning, workforce planning or operations support within manufacturing, FMCG, or high-volume environments.
• Ability to translate forecasts into actionable labour requirements and plans.
• Strong data-driven approach with attention to cost, efficiency and utilisation.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed labour plans for production lines and shifts based on forecasted plans, volumes, line capability and skill requirements.
• Control day-to-day production labour with budget alignment; manage agency relationships and staffing levels.
• Monitor labour spend, productivity and utilisation; provide KPI reporting and drive continuous improvement in efficiency.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, HR and Finance teams to communicate plans and provide insight for daily, weekly and period planning.
