Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team at Alconbury, near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. The role involves preparing and weighing test articles, recording data, and maintaining GLP-compliant workflows in a busy laboratory environment.

Minimum qualifications include GCSEs C/4 or above in Maths, English and Science; A levels in Chemistry or Biology preferred. The position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision after training.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and store test articles in liquid, diet blends and capsule formulations as required by study paperwork and SOPs.
• Weigh/measuring of test articles in a GLP environment.
• Collect and record data, online and handwritten.
• Adhere to work schedules and maintain high clean, hygienic conditions in lab.

Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team at Alconbury, near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday – 37.5hrs

Job Responsibilities

• Preparation and storage of test article in liquid, diet blends and capsule formulations if required in accordance with study paperwork and SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)
• Weighing / measuring of test article within a GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) environment
• Collect and record applicable online and hand generated data
• Adhering to work schedules as appropriate
• Performing quality control reviews of study raw data prior to issue from Dose Formulations
• Use laboratory equipment appropriate for assigned tasks and assist senior technicians with dispensing and labelling of formulations
• Maintains a clean, hygienic and safe work environment, to a high standard

Minimum Qualifications

• GCSEs of grades C/4 or above in Maths, English and Science

Preferred Qualifications

• A levels in Chemistry or Biology

• All tasks will be performed with minimal supervision on satisfactory completion of training
• Ability to work flexibly including weekends; within a team and independently
• Excellent attention to detail

• Due to the remote location of this site, there are no public transport links available

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician who will do the preparation of test articles for dosing in liquid and dietary form and capsule formulations, providing complete documentary evidence of tasks performed in the laboratory.
