Job summary

Labcorp is recruiting a Laboratory Analyst – Bioanalysis for our Harrogate, UK site. You will perform routine LC-MS/MS analyses, prepare samples, and support method development while ensuring GLP and GCP standards are met.

You will work within a team of analysts and project managers, contribute to data interpretation, and help write SOPs. The role is onsite with a strong emphasis on accuracy and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Minimum BSc (Hons) scientific degree.
  • Computing skills including word processing and use of spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

  • Undertaking routine analysis of samples using LC-MS/MS techniques.
  • Working as part of a team to perform bioanalytical testing in line with GLP & GCP requirements.
  • Performing sample preparation using various procedures and delivering study data on time.
  • Assisting in method development and analytical method validation.
  • Writing SOPs and contributing to process improvements.

Laboratory Analyst – Bioanalysis

Our largest UK site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Laboratory Analyst to join the BioAnalysis team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Undertaking routine analysis of samples using LC-MS/MS techniques
  • Working as part of a team alongside other analysts, study managers and technical specialists to perform bioanalytical testing services in accordance with GLP & GCP regulatory requirements
  • Performing sample preparation following multiple different sample preparation procedures (e.g Protein precipitation, Solid phase,, liquid-liquid, SLE, Derivatisation, Digestion) analysis and data interpretation in accordance with the study parameters to deliver study data to our clients in the agreed timescale
  • Utilizing various extraction techniques to develop an understanding of analytical method validation and assist in method development
  • Develop an understanding of Analytical method validation and support carrying out long-term stability experiments
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum BSc (Hons) scientific degree. Computing skills, including word processing and use of spreadsheets (e.g. Microsoft Office packages).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a bioanalysis or analytical lab is an advantage. Ideally experience of using or knowledge of LCMS techniques and pipetting experience. This can be trained if familiar with other analytical techniques.

Additional Job Standards

Excellent verbal and communication skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Knowledge and practice of general health & safety, including personal protective equipment. Knowledge and experience of scientific software packages.

As the Laboratory Analyst, you will work as part of a team alongside other lab analysts, study managers and project managers. You will perform sample preparation and extraction for analysis using LCMS, following strict method guidelines. You will then process the data and perform additional analysis depending on the results obtained. Finally, you will have responsibility for SOP (standard operating procedure) writing as well as working on process improvement projects for the division to ensure the best possible service is delivered. This position is an onsite role.
