Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our central technical operations in Scunthorpe. You will perform physical testing on mortars, conduct chemical analysis on cementitious materials, and ensure compliance with BS EN standards and LIMS data input.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Health & Safety and Environmental compliance
• Understanding of Risk Assessments, Operating Procedures, COSHH
• GCSEs in Maths/Science/English; A level preferred
• Strong communication and analytical skills; meticulous attention to detail

Responsabilités

• Carry out physical testing on mortars and chemical analysis on cementitious materials
• Input test data into LIMS and report anomalies
• Work in a testing rota within a team and support continual improvement
• Regular calibration checks and equipment hygiene per BS EN standards
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance in all activities
• Support product development and quality investigations
• Contribute to data tracking and fault investigation processes
• Assist with training and development of laboratory procedures
