Job summary

skills4group in Leatherhead (KT22) is seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician Apprentice to join our laboratory team. This role offers an opportunity to earn while you learn, supporting day-to-day testing, sample preparation and equipment maintenance under supervision.

You will work towards a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship, develop practical laboratory skills, and gain experience across real projects in a supportive environment with safety at the forefront.

Leatherhead, KT22 - We are looking for a motivated and practical Laboratory Technician Apprentice to join our laboratory team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, developing hands‑on laboratory skills while working towards a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs in Maths, English, and a science subject (or equivalent) at grade 4-9 or equivalent.

Personal Qualities

• Ability to work unsupervised following a planned work schedule
• Writing and numeracy skills
• Familiarity with computers / keyboards / typing skills
• Word, Excel, Access – statistics, graphs, data analysis
• General awareness of importance of safety, and in particular safety issues of working in a laboratory.

About the role:

As a Laboratory Technician Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day work of the laboratory, assisting with testing, preparing samples and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. You will be trained and supported throughout the apprenticeship.
