Job summary

I & F Limited (T/A Skills4Group) in Basildon is seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician Apprentice. You will support day-to-day lab work, assist with testing, prepare samples, and maintain a clean, safe environment while training toward a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship.

The role offers hands-on experience, no prior lab experience required, and a clear path to qualification and progression in science or laboratory careers.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths, English and a science subject (or equivalent) at grade 4-9 or equivalent.
• Ability to work unsupervised following a planned work schedule.
• Writing and numeracy skills.
• Familiarity with computers / keyboards / typing skills.
• General awareness of safety, and in particular safety issues of working in a laboratory.

Basildon, SS14 - We are looking for a motivated and practical Laboratory Technician Apprentice to join our laboratory team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, developing hands‑on laboratory skills while working towards a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs in Maths, English, and a science subject (or equivalent) at grade 4-9 or equivalent.

About the role

As a Laboratory Technician Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day work of the laboratory, assisting with testing, preparing samples and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. You will be trained and supported throughout the apprenticeship.
