Vacancy Description

Working within Quality Control, this role is to provide technical assistance by undertaking product development and service work under the direction and guidance of the Laboratory Section Leaders. Responsibilities include testing, tinting, validation of batches, and supporting the business in maintaining high quality products to meet customer and regulatory standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Perform practical laboratory work such as paint formulation, colour matching, small-scale paint manufacturing, application, physical testing, process inspections, chemical resistance testing, use of spray equipment, record keeping, and sample management.
  2. Assist with analytical tasks including paint solids and flashpoint determination.
  3. Support production supervision, auditing, investigating production issues, handling customer complaints, and managing re-work outlets.
  4. Manage administrative tasks related to testing, batch validation, and stock control using company systems.
  5. Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.
  6. Maintain high standards to ensure customer requirements are met and support QEHS activities.
  7. Keep quality management system records and carry out process inspections.
  8. Archive samples and records, generate certificates of conformance, and engage in stock management.
  9. Operate laboratory equipment safely, including calibration and weathering cabinets.
  10. Maintain a clean, safe working environment in compliance with health and safety policies.
  11. Highlight unsafe conditions and adhere to safety procedures.
  12. Follow company code of conduct, label and dispose of samples properly, and undertake necessary training.
  13. Promote company values and culture.
