Job summary

Müller UK & Ireland is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the Manchester Dairy within Müller Milk & Ingredients. The role focuses on assuring quality through analysis, testing accuracy and data-driven improvement aligned with Müller values.

Key tasks include quality testing, data evaluation, contributing to QMS capability, auditing, and driving continuous improvements. Excellent problem solving and collaboration are essential in this permanent role with a 4 on 4 off shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise through quality based testing and data evaluation.
• Troubleshoot problems using data analysis and evaluation.
• Own and improve Quality Index and monthly reports.
• Oversee internal and external audit processes.
• Collaborate with the team to reduce waste and drive continuous improvement.
• Support laboratory tasks and management systems (5S, etc.).
• Ensure governance of quality processes and cross-functional cooperation.

Job description

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Manchester Dairy within our Müller Milk & Ingredients business.

The main purpose of the Laboratory Technician is assuring quality performance through analysis, subject knowledge and testing performance whilst striving to continuously improve in line with the Müller values.

Lab Technician Key tasks:

• Provide expertise through quality based testing and data evaluation
• Demonstrate active involvement in solving problems / trouble shooting through data analysis and evaluation
• Play an active part in building QMS capability across site
• Responsible for laboratory tasks and management systems (5S etc)
• Support and process confirms operations quality control responsibilities
• Provide governance and ownership of Quality Index and other monthly reports
• Responsible for internal and external audit processes
• Looks for "waste" in everything that we do
• Actively seeks out improvement opportunities within the workplace and converts to own continuous improvement projects
• Collaboratively works with other team members to improve our business
