Working hours are 09:00 - 19:00.

Please note no previous experience in a laboratory is required, full training is provided. We are keen to speak with people who are used to working in a fast paced environment and have a willingness to learn new skills.

As a Laboratory Technician, you will perform routine tasks in the water testing laboratory. These tasks will support the preparation, analysis, and recording of water samples.

• Perform routine tasks to prepare and analyse water samples, including filtration and pipetting among others.
• Operate laboratory equipment used for testing.
• Use our internal laboratory system to record and maintain sample data.
• Ensure accurate labelling, storage, and disposal of samples.
• Complete testing within required time frames.
• Monitor lab supplies and inventory and restock as needed.
• Perform quality control testing where required.
• Maintain good laboratory practices at all times.
• Lift and manoeuvre water samples around the laboratory.
• Keep a clean and tidy workspace, including waste disposal and washing equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced environment and working under pressure is beneficial.
• Computer literacy.
• Enthusiastic and eager to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and a team player.
