Job Description
  • Job Title: Laboratory Technician
  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Location: Ellesmere Port
  • Days and Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm
  • Salary: £23,810

As a Laboratory Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Analyzing samples in accordance with appropriate analytical test procedures and within customer requirements, recording results when appropriate.
  2. Accurately entering laboratory test data into relevant IT systems.
  3. Building and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues, other teams, and clients to reduce inefficiencies and capture all business opportunities.
  4. Reporting any Quality or Health and Safety issues to the Laboratory Team Leader and registering them on the company's quality system.
  5. Adopting safe behaviors by exercising due regard for the health and safety of yourself, colleagues, and clients, in line with the company’s policies and procedures.
Qualifications

How to be a successful candidate: We are seeking individuals keen to pursue a career in laboratories. Previous laboratory experience is preferable but not essential.

Skills & Knowledge
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions consistently.
  • Organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing environments.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy and maturity.
  • Proficiency with IT systems.
  • GCSEs in Science, Mathematics, or English, grades A-C, or equivalent.
Experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, meeting strict process and client demands.
