Job summary

SGS UK Ltd in Ellesmere Port is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our Oil sector operations. This permanent, Monday to Friday role offers a 9am to 5pm schedule and a salary of £24,785.

You will prepare and run samples for analysis, record results in our Lab software, and ensure procedures are followed to the letter within a collaborative, supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced environment performing defined procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and data.
• Willingness to learn standard laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and run samples for analysis following test procedures.
• Record results using lab software systems and maintain logs.

Job Title - Laboratory Technician

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Ellesmere Port

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

Salary: £24,785

Overview of the role:

• Working within the Oil sector
• To prepare & run samples for analysis in accordance with test procedures
• Record results on Lab software systems
• Adhere to documented procedures

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has experience in working within a fast paced setting and used to working to procedures.

You will also have the following:

• High levels of attention to detail
• Ability and willingness to learn laboratory procedures
• Be able to use a computer - word / excel - inputting numbers
• Full driving license for use in the UK - Desirable
