Teledyne Labtech in Presteigne, Wales, invites applications for a Laboratory Supervisor. You will lead day-to-day laboratory operations, ensure accurate chemical analyses, and provide technical guidance to staff.

The role focuses on safety, quality compliance, and timely reporting within a growing RF/Microwave PCB environment. The ideal candidate has a relevant science degree, 3–5 years in a lab, and proven supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, materials science, engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in a laboratory environment; supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial labs highly desirable.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using laboratory databases, Minitab, Excel and LIMS.
• Solid understanding of lab testing techniques, quality systems and process control.
• High attention to detail and data integrity.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support laboratory personnel.
• Allocate daily workloads and priorities to meet objectives.
• Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
• Provide hands-on training and technical guidance to staff.
• Promote safety, teamwork, continuous improvement and accountability.
• Coordinate testing schedules to support manufacturing and customer requirements.
• Maintain calibration and operation of laboratory equipment.
• Monitor workflow for efficiency and throughput.
• Ensure analysis logs and reports are accurate and up-to-date.
