Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at Alconbury, near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. The role supports Genetic Toxicology studies and leads a team of technicians in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

The successful candidate will have a Biomedical Science degree and demonstrable supervisory experience, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Onsite work only, with a competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory and operational support for Genetic Toxicology studies.
• Direct responsibility for all staff in the group assigned.
• Train and develop team members to meet deadlines and goals.
• Ensure data integrity, quality, timeliness and completeness of work.
• Schedule and allocate resources; supervise operational and support staff.
• Oversee study data and equipment metrology where applicable.

Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at Alconbury, near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday – 37.5hrs

Job Responsibilities:

• Providing supervisory and operational support necessary for the preparation and conduct of studies carried out within Genetic Toxicology
• Direct responsibility for all staff working in the operational/support group/section assigned to.
• Training and support of team members to achieve work deadlines and personal development goals
• Accountability for overall accuracy, soundness, quality, timeliness and completeness of all work performed in the area of responsibility
• Responsibility for scheduling; allocating resources within the operational/support group/section; overall responsibility for training and supervision of all operational/scientific/support staff
• Responsibility for study data, raw data integrity, and may include equipment metrology and functionality (where applicable)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree in Biomedical Science, Pharmacology, Chemistry or Biology

Additional Job Standards:

• Supervisory experience within a laboratory, preferably working to regulatory standards such as GLP (Good Laboratory Practice)
• Experience of staff management including development and training
• Aseptic techniques and cell culture experience desirable
• Excellent organisational and time management skills paired with attention to detail

Due to the remote location of this site, there are no public transport links available

We are looking for a Supervisor at Labcorp where you will be responsible for a team of technicians undertaking specific tasks in support of Genetic Toxicology studies along with carrying out technician duties.
