Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Trainee Scientist to join our Harrogate team, North Yorkshire. The role is a Monday-to-Friday, 37-hour schedule focused on developing laboratory skills across GLP-compliant environments.

You will prepare formulations, maintain cleanliness and equipment records, and assist in data recording while pursuing broad cross-training across laboratories and cutting-edge techniques.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biomedical science, Biology, Biochemistry or Chemistry.
• Knowledge of GLP and aseptic techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to read, record, and communicate information.
• Proficiency with standard spreadsheet and word-processing software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare formulations and materials for GLP-compliant systems.
• Maintain lab cleanliness, supplies and waste disposal.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and records.
• Record data accurately and meet production deadlines.
• Acknowledge receipt of a test compound within 24 hours.

Labcorp is seeking a Trainee Scientist to join our team at Harrogate, North Yorkshire

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday – 37hrs

Job Responsibilities

• Preparation of formulations and materials for use in other laboratory areas to GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) compliant systems, including proper and controlled use of any necessary equipment and performance of relevant sterility and quality control checks
• Maintaining lab cleanliness, supplies and tidiness (cleaning, calibrations, reagent prep and disposal, waste disposal (etc.)
• Maintaining laboratory equipment and equipment records within laboratory areas
• Accurate recording and data checkingMeeting production deadlines required by customers both internally and externally
• Acknowledging safe receipt of a test compound to the client within 24 hours of arrival within the department

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree in Biomedical science, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry
