Job summary

Whitgift School in Croydon is seeking a Laboratory General Assistant to support the Science Technical Team with practical lab operations and preparation for lessons. The role focuses on keeping labs organised, well-stocked, and compliant with safety procedures throughout the term-time schedule.

The successful candidate will work well both independently and with others, ensuring timely preparation and turnover of equipment, while contributing to the overall safe and efficient running of science

Responsibilities

• Clean, maintain and store laboratory glassware and equipment.
• Monitor stock levels and support waste disposal processes.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and organisation across science facilities.
• Support technicians and teaching staff in day-to-day activities.
• Adhere to Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
