Job summary

SGS in Scarborough is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the Environmental, Health & Safety laboratory operations, drive sample throughput, ensure data quality, and promote a safe working culture across locations.

You will manage staff and instrumentation, implement best practices, resolve client issues, and coordinate with support groups to meet budgets and timelines while maintaining industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive laboratory management experience.
• Ability to design optimal solutions for problems and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Profitably manage day-to-day SGS Environmental, Health & Safety laboratory operations within budget and group targets.
• Ensure housekeeping, HR, safety, quality, security and environmental practices are followed.
• Provide leadership through planning, delegation and empowerment of staff.
