Job summary

Laboratory Operations Assistant at the Francis Crick Institute within the Service Delivery team will provide essential operational support to laboratories across the organization. You’ll work with floor and quadrant managers to maintain safe, compliant and efficient research spaces, including waste management, stock control and general lab tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCSEs in Maths, Science and English.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Able to follow work instructions with diligence.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organisation and cleanliness of lab areas, including waste removal.
• Handle general and laboratory queries and support stakeholders.
• Stock management, stock checks and restocking stores, ensure cold storage items stored correctly.
• Manage hazardous materials and prepare waste for disposal.
• Support upkeep of communal scientific equipment and chemical inventories.
