Job summary

Blue Arrow in the United Kingdom is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support quality control in a spirits lab. You will operate standard lab equipment, prepare samples for GC and other analyses, and assist sensory panels.

The role requires 3+ months in a quality lab or spirits setting, plus a science qualification (HNC/HND). IT systems experience such as Microsoft Office, LIMS, and Chemstation is desirable. Shift pattern includes weekdays with a pay rate of £13.03 per hour.

Qualifications

• Quality lab/Spirits industry experience (minimum 3 months).
• Tertiary education in science such as HNC/HND in chemistry, bioscience or food science.
• Relevant IT systems experience e.g. Microsoft Office, LIMS, Chemstation
• Good attention to detail.

• Monday to Thursday 8am-4:30pm
• Friday 8am-12pm
• £13.03 per hour

• Prepare samples for GC and other specialist instrumentation.
• Sensory Analysis - prepare samples for Sensory Panel, set up sensory software and maintain reference samples.
• Collect samples from production, use LIMS to log all samples and record their results.
• Apple 5S principles to the laboratory environment, ensuring good housekeeping and store all incoming samples appropriately in accordance with HMRC guidlines.
