Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group seeks a reliable Laboratory Assistant to join the quality team at DH9 7XP. You will assist in daily lab operations, perform routine testing, and help ensure products meet required standards and customer specifications.

Roles involve quality checks on bulk wine deliveries, production samples, and maintaining accurate records while following safety and environmental procedures. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous laboratory, food manufacturing or quality control experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine laboratory testing and quality control checks.
• Test incoming bulk wine deliveries and production samples.
• Monitor product quality and ensure specifications are met.
• Carry out production line checks, including volumes, wine parameters and labelling.
• Inspect raw materials against agreed specifications.
• Complete laboratory and QC records accurately.
• Take samples for external analytical and microbiological testing.
• Report quality issues to the appropriate manager.
• Follow food safety, health & safety and environmental procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised laboratory environment.

Laboratory Assistant

Location: DH9 7XP

Salary: £14.59 per hour (Days) / £17.09 per hour (Nights)

Hours: 35.25 hours per week

Shift Pattern:

• Days: 6:00am-6:00pm, Thursday to Saturday


• Nights: 6:00pm-6:00am, Wednesday to Friday

About the Role
