Job summary

Matrix Diagnostics is seeking a Laboratory Analyst in the Confirmation team at its Waltham Abbey site. You will support sample preparation, analytical testing, and data management in a fast-paced, quality-focused lab environment.

The role involves ensuring ISO 17025 compliance, assisting with QC measures, and contributing to continuous improvement while maintaining accurate records in the LIMS and delivering reliable analytical results.

Qualifications

• Degree in a scientific subject with strong practical skills.
• Experience in a regulated environment (ISO 17025, GLP is beneficial).
• Knowledge of Analytical Extraction Processes and screening/confirmation technologies.

Responsibilities

• Process and analyze confirmation samples efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain LIMS records and ensure QC and instrument management comply with QMS requirements.
• Perform system checks, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of analytical systems and equipment.
• Review analytical results for customers and provide interpretation where required.
• Implement internal and external QC measures, take corrective actions, and review trends regularly.
• Handle certified reference materials and prepare calibrator and QC materials before use.
• Monitor stock levels to ensure uninterrupted supply of consumables and reagents.
• Participate in team meetings and drive laboratory improvements.
• Support ISO 17025, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 compliance in testing and quality control.
• Coordinate the referral of samples to external laboratories when needed.
