Qualifications

Job description

The role involves the preparation and analysis of samples using colorimetric, gravimetric, and automated analysis. You will work within a team to deliver results, ensuring the best outcomes for our customers, environment, and organisms within the basins we protect. Traditional testing methods will also be used to keep your skills energetic and constantly developing.

You'll work in fast-paced, award-winning laboratories alongside fellow analysts at all levels, collaborating to achieve results. Additionally, you will have opportunities to work independently, gaining achievement and making a difference.

You will work with highly talented team managers and leaders, following a progression scheme aimed at developing you into a future senior analyst within Thames Water Laboratories.

Develop your skills and become an expert in your area of work.

You will work with quality management systems compliant with ISO/IEC 17025, MCERTs, and DWTS for certain methodologies.

What you should bring to the role

  • Previous laboratory experience, a related Science degree, or an A-Level in a science-related subject with a grade B/6 in Maths GCSE.
  • Ability to follow strict instructions and guidelines to produce, record, maintain, and verify data within a highly regulated UKAS-accredited laboratory.
  • A customer-focused approach and a commitment to delivering exceptional service as part of a team.
  • Comfort with repetitive work and a passion for working in a laboratory environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with willingness to suggest ideas for process and personal development.
