Job summary

Finn Pathologists, part of CVS Group plc, is seeking a laboratory administration assistant in Harleston for a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. The role is 22.5 hours per week with a Monday-Wednesday 9-5 shift, offering full training and progression opportunities within an integrated veterinary services group.

You will handle data entry, labelling of submissions, and respond to client queries. Prior lab experience is not required, and you will receive comprehensive training and ongoing

Qualifications

• No prior lab or scientific experience required; full training provided.
• Proficient with data entry systems and telephone platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Process newly received veterinary submissions via data entry and labelling.
• Manage incoming client queries and communications from partner laboratories and suppliers.

Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Wednesday 9-5pm

CoreResponsibilities

• To Process Newly Received Veterinary Submissions – through Data Entry & labelling for our laboratory
• Manage incoming Client Queries and Incoming Communication from partner laboratories and suppliers

Skills & Attributes Needed

• Comfortable using computers and data entry systems
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in using telephone systems and providing excellent customer service
• Ability to follow procedures and instructions
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently
• Good communication skills (written and verbal)
• Able to work under pressure and perform routine tasks reliably
• Team player with a positive attitude
