Job summary

Specsavers Loughborough is seeking a dedicated Optical Lab Technician to lead a team and ensure high-quality eyewear. You will read prescriptions, cut lenses with blocking and glazing machines, assemble frames, tint lenses, and perform quality checks.

The role requires attention to detail, great communication, and reliability in a busy retail lab environment. We offer full-time hours (40 per week), a starting salary of £27k DOE, store bonus and extensive Specsavers Perks, eyecare and hearcare

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong eye for detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Reading lens and frame specifications from prescriptions
• Using blocking and glazing machines to cut lenses to the correct shape and fit
• Assembling lenses into frames
• Tinting lenses for UV protection and colours
• Attention to detail in all tasks
• Ordering frames and lenses
• Quality checking of completed glasses
• Good housekeeping and machine maintenance
