Job summary

Specsavers Keynsham is seeking a proactive Lab Technician with optical lab experience to join our team. You will work with advanced equipment to cut lenses, assemble eyewear, tint for UV protection, and conduct quality checks to ensure high standards for every pair of glasses.

You’ll be part of a friendly team in a busy retail lab, contributing to precise orders and efficient production while delivering excellent customer outcomes in a store-forward environment.

Responsibilities

• Read lens and frame specifications from prescriptions.
• Operate blocking and glazing machines to cut lenses to shape.
• Assemble lenses into frames and tint for UV protection as required.
• Maintain quality checks on finished eyewear.
• Order frames and lenses as needed and ensure good housekeeping.

As a skilled Lab Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring every pair of glasses is produced to the highest standards.

As a Lab Technician, you will use the latest computer-controlled equipment with accuracy and attention to detail, helping to maintain exceptional quality standards and maximise customer satisfaction.

Drawing on your previous Optical Lab experience, you will be part of a team responsible for preparing customers' spectacle orders, carrying out quality checks, and ensuring all eyewear is produced efficiently and to the highest standard.
