Job description

Element has an opportunity for a Lab Technician to join our rapidly expanding Connected Technologies business at our state-of-the-art laboratory in Surrey Hills, Guildford.

Role Overview

As a member of our Radio Testing team, you will perform a variety of testing assignments to ensure cutting-edge consumer electrical devices meet specific radio testing standards and are safe for manufacturers to bring to market.

Core Responsibilities
  1. Prepare material specimens for testing
  2. Perform tests as directed by customer specifications
  3. Operate under the supervision of a senior test technician and/or a Department Manager
  4. Gather and record test data
  5. Construct and maintain test fixtures and laboratory equipment
Key Skills
  1. Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols
  2. HS diploma or GED preferred; college or vocational coursework is a plus
  3. 0-2 years' experience in a testing-related field
  4. Basic understanding of testing concepts
  5. Computer literacy
  6. Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry is advantageous
