Job summary

Pertemps Northampton is seeking a Testing Technician for a full-time role in Kettering, UK. You will work in a furniture flammability laboratory, supporting testing to British, European and international standards. The position suits someone organized, detail-oriented and comfortable in a technical environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths, English and Science (Grade C / 5 or above).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and conditioning samples for testing.
• Carrying out flammability testing in accordance with British, European and international standards.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised laboratory environment.
• Planning and coordinating testing schedules to meet customer and business requirements.
• Recording and reporting test results accurately.
• Following laboratory procedures and quality standards at all times.
