Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting for a Testing Technician in Kettering, UK. You will join a furniture flammability laboratory and support testing of products to British, European and international standards.

The role requires organisation, accuracy and a technical mindset, with responsibilities spanning sample preparation, flammability testing, data recording and reporting, while maintaining strict safety and quality procedures in a busy laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths, English and Science (Grade C / 5 or above).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and conditioning samples for testing.
• Carrying out flammability testing to standards.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised laboratory environment.
• Planning and coordinating testing schedules to meet customer and business requirements.
• Recording and reporting test results accurately.
• Following laboratory procedures and quality standards at all times.
