Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy invites applications for a Laboratory Technician Apprentice to support day-to-day laboratory activities, assist with testing, and prepare samples in a safe, clean environment.

You will be trained and supported throughout the apprenticeship, with opportunities to gain practical experience, problem-solving skills and understanding of quality and safety standards within a busy lab.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or predicted grades) in Maths and Science desirable.
• GCSEs in Maths, English and a science subject (or equivalent) at grade 4-9 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with laboratory tests and experiments under supervision.
• Preparing samples, materials and equipment for testing.
• Accurately recording results and maintaining laboratory records.
• Cleaning, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment.
• Following health & safety procedures and quality standards.
• Working as part of a team to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
