Job summary

Skills4Science in Doncaster is offering a Chemical Laboratory Technician Apprentice placement to join our analytical testing team. You will gain practical lab experience while working toward a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship.

You will prepare samples, assist with testing, operate equipment under supervision, record data, and follow quality, health and safety procedures as you develop your skills across environmental and industrial testing.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths, English and Science (Grade 4/C or above) required.
• Chemistry qualification desirable but not essential.
• No previous laboratory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for chemical analysis.
• Assist with laboratory testing procedures.
• Operate analytical equipment under supervision.
• Record and interpret test data.
• Maintain laboratory documentation and records.
• Follow quality assurance procedures.
• Assist with sample receipt and tracking.
• Support equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Learn laboratory best practices and testing standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised laboratory environment.
