Laboratory Technician

Hours: 15-25 hours per week (Mon to Fri)

Salary: £25 - £30k per annum pro-rata - experience depending

Location: Newcastle - Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity with an award-winning specialist adhesives manufacturing company located in the North East.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct sampling and testing of adhesive products and substrates to industry standards.
  2. Ensure ongoing compliance with laboratory quality systems and industry regulations.
  3. Support the upkeep and operational readiness of lab equipment and facilities.
  4. Manage lab consumables, reagents, and retained samples.
  5. Liaise with internal teams and external partners on testing and reporting.
  6. Maintain accurate records to support quality and audit requirements.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • A-Level or higher in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related science.
  • Understanding of health and safety (QHSE/COSHH) practices in a chemical lab setting.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Previous experience in a laboratory environment is highly desirable.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent are desirable but not mandatory.
