Job summary

Randox Testing Services are recruiting a Laboratory Analyst to join the Testing Services team. The role involves performing analytical procedures for drugs of abuse, handling samples, and maintaining quality records across UK operations.

Successful candidates will be degree-qualified in Life Science/Biochemistry/Chemistry with strong organisational and communication skills, plus experience with MS Office; detail-oriented and capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced lab setting.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to at least degree level in Life Science, Biochemistry or Chemistry.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to achieve efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office packages.
  • Eye for detail with the ability to work under pressure without sacrificing quality or accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of analytical procedures, including manual screening and automated methods for drugs of abuse.
  • Receipt and registration of biological samples into the laboratory.
  • Qualitative and quantitative analysis of specimens using LCMS techniques.
  • Prepare and handle samples and diagnostic reagents.
  • Operate automated analytical systems and interpret analytical data.
  • Maintain accurate records and quality documentation.
  • Adhere to chain of custody procedures throughout the analytical process.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and calibration of analytical instrumentation.
  • Prepare test records and transfer biological specimens ensuring continuity during shipment.
