You will join a large business area working for our largest UK public sector client, collaborating with inspiring experts from whom you can learn and enjoy the career opportunities this brings. You will be part of a large community of Graduates and Apprentices across the business.

This is a full-time, office-based role; you should expect to work in our Telford office 5 days a week.

Your role

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Provide Desktop Support within Capgemini.
  2. Fault identification and resolution of incidents/requests within SLA targets.
  3. Support for mobile solutions (Phones and Laptops).
  4. Software and hardware installation.
  5. PC Configuration.
  6. Laptop & MacBook imaging.
  7. Assisting with IT Stores tasks as required.
  8. Supporting internal events.
  9. Creating and maintaining support documentation.
  10. When trained, work on the Tech Table or Virtual Tech Table assisting end users with technical issues.
Your Profile

To be eligible, you need:

  • 7 GCSEs including Maths, English, and Computer Science at grades 4-9.
  • Or an equivalent BTEC in a STEM subject, with Maths & English grades 4-9, totaling the equivalent of 7 GCSEs.
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 and/or Windows 11.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, OneDrive).
  • Knowledge of Apple devices (MacBooks, iPads, macOS).
  • Hardware familiarity (Desktops, Laptops, Printers).
Your programme

The apprenticeship is provided by Baltic, over 18 months you will study part-time for a Level 3 IT Support Technician qualification while working full-time. Modules include Supporting IT Architecture, Working with End User Devices, and Working with Network Architecture.

As an apprentice at Capgemini, you'll start with the ‘GetINSPIRED’ programme—a week-long introduction to Capgemini and the Early & Emerging Talent community, meeting inspiring individuals and exploring projects that will influence your career. We support apprentices in developing their personal brand and exploring innovative thinking methods to drive solutions for clients.

Your security clearance

To be appointed, you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks. There are no nationality or residency restrictions, but recent residence outside the UK may require additional checks. Throughout recruitment, questions about your eligibility for security clearance will be asked.
