Job summary

MyNewTerm is recruiting L2 Teaching Assistants for a fixed term contract. The role covers 27 hours per week during term time plus one week of holidays, Monday to Friday 8.40am-3.05pm with unpaid breaks.

Full-time salary is £26,427 per annum with a 62.97% FTE actual of £16,642; Lunchtime Supervisor adds 5 hours weekly at £2,960 actual (11.37% FTE). The post supports planning, delivery and evaluation of learning activities.

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in an educational setting.
• Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent required.
• Demonstrates safeguarding and health & safety awareness.

We are looking for a professional and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our highly successful SEN Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the planning, delivery and evaluation of learning activities for group or individual students, promoting a safe and secure learning environment under classroom teacher direction, as well as delivering bespoke self-managed student intervention. Applications are welcome from candidates with previous experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in an educational setting, with a Teaching Assistant qualification and the ability to display an understanding of professional educational standards. A firm understanding of child protection and relevant Health and Safety procedures are essential.
