Our Learning Management System is key to this, supporting tens of thousands of our team members across the UK. We’re looking for a Learning and Development Admin Manager to ensure its smooth operation and to keep our training programs industry-leading.

As Learning and Development Admin Manager, you’ll be the primary contact for all training administration—ensuring programs run efficiently and effectively. You’ll manage delegate bookings, coordinate training across the business, provide first-line support for our learning systems, and play a vital role in enabling our staff to excel daily.

Reporting to the Head of People Shared Services, you will lead a team of three and collaborate closely with the L&D team to ensure seamless system access and content delivery for support and operational teams.

Why you’ll love it here:

  • Bonus: Annual Whitbread performance incentive worth up to 30% of base salary
  • Healthcare: Family BUPA healthcare
  • Discounts: Up to 60% on Premier Inn stays and 25% on our restaurant brands
  • Up to 10% Matched Pension, 25 Days holiday, and Company Share Save Scheme

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring all events are scheduled, attended, and successful.
  • Work with the Digital Learning Manager to maximize LMS utilization for all learners and facilitators, ensuring an excellent learning experience.
  • Deliver key L&D metrics through reporting tools to track engagement, compliance, and completion rates.
  • Lead the L&D Admin team, ensuring training records and bookings are accurate and compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Coordinate with L&D Managers on management development programs, including planning and liaising with external facilitators as needed.
  • Lead, coach, and set strategic direction for the administrative team on daily activities and department goals.

What we need:

  • Experience in administration and data management within high-volume processes, preferably in an L&D, HR, or Resourcing context, within multi-site operational businesses (hospitality, retail, leisure, tourism).
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and leveraging technology for process efficiency.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, with experience in Power BI or similar tools, and the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
  • A leadership style that motivates and rewards talent, fostering individual development.

At Whitbread, our people are at the heart of our success. We aim to create an environment where everyone can thrive, supporting individual and team growth, guest satisfaction, and brand excellence.
