TeacherActive is seeking a Dance Teacher for an Outstanding secondary school in Chelmsford. The role is four days per week on a long-term basis, starting immediately, to deliver GCSE Dance (KS4) and timetabled PE across KS3/KS4.

You will hold QTS with a Dance or PE specialization, have experience teaching GCSE Dance, and be confident delivering PE across key stages. The school offers a positive environment and supportive consultants from TeacherActive.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an Outstanding OFSTED-rated mainstream secondary school in Chelmsford who are looking to appoint a Dance Teacher. The school provides a positive and high-achieving environment where pupils are encouraged to engage fully in both academic and practical subjects.

The school is looking to take on a Dance Teacher for four days per week on a long-term basis, covering staff sickness. The successful Dance Teacher will primarily teach GCSE Dance at Key Stage 4 / KS4, alongside timetabled PE lessons across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4.

The successful Dance Teacher will have:

• QTS with a relevant Dance or PE specialism, with ECTs also welcome to apply
• Experience teaching Dance within a secondary school environment
• Experience delivering GCSE Dance at Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Confidence teaching PE across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A flexible and enthusiastic approach to teaching
