Job summary

The Education Network is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join a Wolverhampton secondary from October 2026 on a long-term supply basis. You will teach KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging, well-structured lessons and supporting student progress.

The role requires QTS or an ECT specialising in Science, strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management and the ability to adapt teaching for mixed abilities. You will join a collaborative science team committed to high standards.

Qualifications

Hold QTS or be an ECT specialising in Science.
Strong subject knowledge and confidence teaching Science across KS3 and KS4.
Able to deliver engaging and accessible lessons.
Demonstrate effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
Adapt teaching to meet the needs of students with different abilities.
Be organised, reliable and committed to supporting student progress.
Build positive professional relationships with students and colleagues.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver effective lessons, assess student progress and maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
Teach Science across KS3 and KS4, developing students' knowledge and practical skills.
Contribute to a collaborative science team and school improvement.
