Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment in Trafford is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support KS2 pupils in a primary school. You will work closely with teachers, provide tailored support, and deliver 1:1 assistance to students with SEND in a nurturing classroom.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with a PAYE daily rate of £93–£100 depending on experience. You’ll join a supportive team, with ongoing professional development opportunities and a positive, student‑centred

Qualifications

Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
Experience working with SEND students is beneficial but not essential.
A positive and flexible approach with a genuine passion for working with children.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the individual needs of students.

Responsibilities

Assist with the delivery of learning activities and lessons for students with SEND.
Provide one-to-one support or work with small groups of students.
Help students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
Contribute to creating an inclusive, safe, and supportive classroom environment.
