Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting for a KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Quinton from September 2026. The role is full-time and ongoing, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, starting 01/09/2026.

You will support pupils across Key Stage 2, help with learning and behavioural needs, and build positive relationships in the classroom. The ideal candidate will have prior school or care experience and be available for full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school, nursery or support setting is important.
• Patient, proactive and adaptable approach is required.
• Strong behaviour management skills are essential.
• Must be able to commit to full-time hours, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Deliver targeted interventions to pupils across KS2.
• Assist the class teacher with classroom activities.
• Encourage engagement and keep children on task.
• Support children with behavioural and additional learning needs.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment.

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and reliable KS2 Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming primary school in the Quinton area from September 2026.

This is a full-time, ongoing role supporting pupils across Key Stage 2. The successful candidate must be confident supporting children with a range of learning and behavioural needs and able to build positive relationships within the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Delivering targeted interventions
• Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities
• Encouraging engagement and keeping children on task
• Supporting children with behavioural and additional learning needs
• Creating a positive and supportive learning environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a school, nursery, or support worker setting
• A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach
• Strong behaviour management skills
• The ability to commit to full-time hours, Monday-Friday
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
