Veritas Education Recruitment is supporting a welcoming primary school in Carnforth to recruit a part-time KS2 Teaching Assistant. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 12:30pm, supporting pupils across Key Stage 2 during morning sessions and starting immediately.

The ideal candidate will have experience with primary pupils, a solid grasp of KS2 English and Maths, and the ability to work well in small groups or one-to-one.

Part-Time KS2 Teaching Assistant Required - Carnforth

Starting Immediately Monday to Friday 8:30am - 12:30pm

Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Carnforth. This is a part‑time position starting immediately, providing support to pupils across Key Stage 2 during the morning sessions.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of English and Maths at KS2 level and be confident supporting pupils with their learning, both independently and in small groups.

The Role:

• Supporting teaching and learning across KS2
• Working with small groups and individual pupils
• Delivering targeted English and Maths interventions
• Helping pupils to stay engaged and make progress
• Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities and preparation

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with primary-aged children
• Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, particularly English and Maths
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, proactive and nurturing approach
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential
