Job summary

Teach Now is seeking a capable KS2 Teaching Assistant for a long-term placement in a Harrow primary school. You will support pupils in reading, writing and maths, lead small groups and help Year 5 and Year 6 pupils develop independence and organisational skills.

This full-time, long-term position starts on 8 September 2026. A Level 2 or Level 3 teaching-assistant qualification (or equivalent experience), an Enhanced DBS, the right to work in the UK and two recent references are required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting KS2 pupils in a classroom setting.
• Clear communication and patient teaching style.
• Strong organisational and reliability skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead focused groups in reading, writing and maths.
• Reinforce key vocabulary and problem-solving strategies.
• Support pupils with SEND while promoting independence.
