Job summary

GSL Education Leicester is seeking a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to support learning in Years 3–6 across Leicestershire. You will work with teachers to deliver targeted interventions, support pupil wellbeing and raise attainment in diverse primary settings.

The role offers part-time hours on a temporary basis with immediate or September start dates. Previous KS2 experience and a passion for safeguarding children are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school setting.
• Experience supporting Key Stage 2 pupils is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, positive and proactive approach.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Help pupils develop confidence, resilience and independence.
• Support literacy, numeracy and intervention programmes.
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom.
• Prepare classroom resources and assist with lesson activities.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
