Grappenhall Heys Community Primary School is seeking a KS2 Teaching Assistant who is caring and enthusiastic. The role includes supporting pupils' literacy and numeracy skills, managing behaviour, and providing pastoral care. The school is seeking to appoint caring, enthusiastic teaching assistant, who is able to support teaching andlearning throughout school and is willing to take part in the life of the school.
The role will involve workingsupporting teaching and learning in a classroom setting, it may require some 1:1 or small group work.
We have availability for a KS2 Teaching Assistant Level 2 – Fixed term for 12 months from 1st September2025 to to 31st August 2026 (with the possibility of extending).

Applications are invited from enthusiastic teaching assistants who:
can work alongside teachers and other support staff to support and develop the literacy andnumeracy skills of pupils
have an ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with the pupils, parentsand staff
have experience of working with children with specific needs
are able to work as part of a team
demonstrate strong behaviour management skills in line with school policy
conform to school policies and procedures – safeguarding, welfare, health and safety and dataprotection
undergo any training required in order to perform relevant duties efficiently
Support the teaching of a curriculum that allows pupils to achieve and make progress
be a patient and understanding champion of vulnerable pupils
The posts also include pastoral care duties including lunchtime pupil support.
