Job summary

Academics in Doncaster is recruiting KS2 Teaching Assistants for temporary, ongoing supply work across local primary schools. You will support pupils in Years 3-6 and work closely with class teachers to deliver lessons and targeted interventions.

The role offers flexible start dates, a daily rate of £92.56–£95 (PAYE, holiday pay included), and opportunities for long-term placements. DBS required or willingness to obtain one; enhanced support from experienced consultants.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
• Experience supporting Key Stage 2 pupils is desirable.
• Confident, caring and adaptable approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across Key Stage 2
• Assist with classroom activities and learning
• Provide individual and small-group support
• Help deliver interventions where required
• Encourage positive behaviour and independence
• Support pupils with their confidence and engagement
• Prepare and organise classroom resources
• Work closely with the class teacher and school staff
