Job summary

Academics is recruiting for a KS2 Teaching Assistant in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. This full-time, long-term role starts January 2027 and involves supporting pupils to access the KS2 curriculum under the guidance of the class teacher.

We welcome experienced TAs and graduates to apply, with a focus on creating an inclusive, engaging classroom environment and assisting with behaviour and routine management.

Qualifications

• Experience as teaching assistant or graduates welcome.
• Ability to support learning and adapt to pupil needs.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils during classroom lessons.
• Work closely with the class teacher to support learning.
• Help pupils access the KS2 curriculum.
• Provide individual and small-group support.
• Answer questions and reinforce learning.
• Create a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Support classroom organisation and general duties.
• Assist with pupil behaviour and classroom management.
• Encourage pupils to develop confidence and independence.
