Job summary

Class Act is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming Oxfordshire primary school for an experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Years 5 and 6.

The role is initially for at least four weeks with a view to extension for the right candidate. You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging activities and support individual or small group learners while reinforcing literacy and numeracy in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as KS2 TA in Upper Key Stage 2 is essential.
• Strong understanding of Year 5 and Year 6 curriculum.
• Experience supporting pupils with varying learning needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, proactive and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils within an Upper KS2 classroom
• Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities
• Provide support to individual pupils and small groups
• Reinforce learning in literacy, numeracy, and foundation subjects
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement
• Help pupils develop confidence and independence
• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment
