Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a dedicated KS2 Teacher (QTS) for a Southampton Inclusion & SEN department. The role involves delivering KS2 curriculum to secondary-aged pupils on a personalised plan, with PSHE delivery and strong relationship-building to support academic and emotional development.

You will work within a small group setting, adapt lessons to individual needs, and collaborate with inclusion staff to ensure safeguarding and high standards of education.

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• KS2 teaching experience is essential.
• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs is beneficial.
• Safeguarding training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the KS2 curriculum to secondary-aged pupils.
• Plan and teach engaging lessons across a range of subjects.
• Deliver PSHE lessons to support personal development and wellbeing.
• Adapt learning to meet individual pupil needs.
• Support students who may require additional academic or emotional support.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
• Create a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
• Work closely with inclusion staff, teaching assistants, and wider support teams.
• Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently.
