Job summary

Teach South is supporting a specialist SEN school in Southampton with the recruitment of a passionate SEN Teacher to join their team and make a real difference to the lives of young people with additional learning needs.

This role offers an opportunity to work with pupils who have SEMH needs and ASD, delivering engaging, differentiated lessons and contributing to an inclusive, supportive classroom where every pupil can reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
• Patience, resilient, adaptable and good at building relationships with pupils.
• Ability to differentiate lessons to meet individual needs.
• Committed to creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
• Experience with SEN or keen to develop in SEN setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to pupils' needs.
• Support pupils with SEMH, ASD and other needs.
• Create a nurturing, structured learning environment.
• Adapt teaching approaches and resources to meet needs.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues and families.
• Encourage confidence, independence and a love of learning.
