Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated KS2 Teacher for a mainstream primary school in Blackburn to cover the full 2026/27 academic year. You will take responsibility for an Upper KS2 class, delivering engaging lessons and preparing pupils for Year 6 SATs in a supportive environment.

The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status, strong KS2 knowledge, and outstanding classroom management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) as a prerequisite.
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, with Upper KS2 knowledge.
• Strong curriculum knowledge, particularly for Year 5/6.
• Experience delivering SATs preparation is desirable.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across the Upper KS2 curriculum.
• Prepare pupils effectively for Year 6 SATs assessments.
• Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress.
• Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Differentiate lessons to meet diverse learning needs.

A welcoming and ambitious mainstream primary school in Blackburn is seeking a dedicated KS2 Teacher to join their team for the full 2026/27 academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential during the important Upper Key Stage 2 years.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for an Upper KS2 class, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that prepare pupils for the next stage of their education. Experience supporting pupils through SATs preparation and assessment processes would be highly desirable.
