Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking a KS2 Teacher for a part-time role (Thursdays and Fridays) starting in October for a long-term placement through Dec 2026. The school serves ages 3–19 in an all-through setting with Good Ofsted.

You will plan, deliver and assess lessons, engage with parents, and support the wider school community. The ideal candidate holds QTS, has KS2 experience, and demonstrates strong classroom management and safeguarding commitment.

• Experience teaching Key Stage 2 is essential.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum is expected.

Duties as KS2 Teacher:

• Teach a Key Stage 2 class on Thursdays and Fridays
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
• Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to the wider school community
• Participate in parents' evenings and school events
• Undertake lunchtime duty and other professional responsibilities as required
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and participation

Ideal KS2 Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Commitment to fully embracing the responsibilities of a class teacher
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
